What Net-It Does Behind the Scenes
When Net-It Central builds a file library, or site, it converts the files to the selected format (our compressed, proprietary format—viewable only by the Net-It Central viewers, PDF or Flash.  

Net-It Viewers

For greater deployment flexibility, you can now choose between our ActiveX and Java 2 viewers*.   The Java Viewer is based on our robust, redesigned Brava 4.0 product. This provides maximum features, including markup and annotation capabilities, while preserving security and fidelity.  The ActiveX viewer is a more nimble, streamlined viewer for more controlled environments, or for when you just don't need the extra features of the Java viewer.

Supported Formats
Net-It Central converts most files using a simple print driver*.  Any format that can be viewed by an application supporting the Windows Print command is supported by Net-It Central. The application used to perform the print command does not have to be the source application.

Note: The application used to perform the print action must be on the machine where the Net-It Central application is installed.

* Net-It for CAD uses Informative Graphics' native drivers for many CAD formats, providing layer support, hyperlink conversion, and more.

Minimum Server System Requirements

• OS (English version): Windows XP, 2000 (SP4 or greater)/2000 Advanced Server

• OS (Japanese version): XP, 2000 (SP4 or greater)/2000 Advanced Server, 2003/2003 Enterprise Edition
• Minimum 256 MB RAM (1 Gig recommended)
• 150 MB hard drive space for all installed files
• Additional 75 MB or more required for temporary files during installation process
• Additional disk space required for temporary files created when Net-It Central publishes. Space required varies with number and complexity of files managed
• Server must be TCP/IP enabled
• Server must have an enabled LPT1 port
• Access to any web server or web hosting service
• Java 2 version 1.4.1_02
• Applications that support the file types to be converted, either the native application (e.g., MS Office) or a viewing applications such as MYRIAD

Minimum Contributor/Viewer Requirements

• Windows 98, NT, XP, 2000, 2003
• Java 2 viewer requires JVM 1.4.1_02 and a Java-enabled Internet Explorer version 5.x or higher or Netscape version 4.79
• ActiveX viewer requires ActiveX-enabled Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher
