Message processing system for MS-Outlook
One of our housing authority customers was looking to measure accurately the performance of their area housing offices with regard to messages taken. The authority had already used a system developed using MS-Outlook forms. This system was however susceptible to inaccuracies, and since the data was to be used as part of performance measurement these inaccurate need to be eradicated.

The system built by Blue Ice leveraged the existing Outlook forms, so staff didn’t need to know any new skills. The system’s integrity was assured by having the forms automatically write copies of all emailed messages to a secure SQL server. Reporting facilities were provided through an ASP.NET web based interface.

The system went live in September 2005, and since then has processed over 5000 messages.
